ALABAMA CRIMSON TIDE
802 ALL TIME WINS
Welcome to BAMA FAN. I have been a fan of the Crimson Tide since the great teams in the Sixties. In the decade of the Sixties BAMA had a record of 90-16-4, won four Southeastern Conference Championships and three National Championships 1961, 1964, 1965. The Bear was just getting warmed up when the Seventies rolled a round. A decade of dominance, a record of 103-16-1, eight Southeastern Conference Championships and three National Championships 1973, 1978, 1979. The years 1966, 1975, and 1977 are National Championships according to the NCAA but not claimed by the University of Alabama.
After Coach Bryant pasted it was an unstable time the rest of the decade of the Eighties, then came Coach Stallings. By 1992 Coach Stallings had the Tide rolling to a National Championship. After Coach Stallings left the ride to the bottom finally ended in 2007 with the hiring of Coach Saban. In only three years Coach Saban put the Tide back on top of the college football world, 2009 National Champions.
On January 3, 2007 Nick Saban accepted an offer to become Alabama's 27th head coach. In four years at Bama he has a record of 43–11 (.796), two SEC West Division
titles, a Southeastern Conference title, and a National Championship.
He has an overall record of 134–53–1 in college football.
Nick Saban is relentless at recruiting and has set a high standard of recruiting at Alabama, Coach Saban has had top three recruiting classes every year since 2008. Coach Saban is never satisfied with what he accomplished last year, he is always improving the process. The process has had Bama ranked #1 at some point during the season for the past three years.
Coach Saban and Coach Bryant are the only coaches to win an SEC championship at two different schools. Coach Saban is only the second coach in college football history to win a national championship at two different FBS schools.
The B.C.S. National
Championship Game will be played at the Louisiana Superdome, in New Orleans, LA. on January 9, 2012. Alabama is 8-5 in the Sugar Bowl all time and 5-2 in the
Louisiana Superdome.
The Crimson Tide have the No.1 recruting class of 2011, as ranked by Rivals.com.
